Oakhill is a quiet and friendly village with lots of fabulous walks to woodlands or cycle the country lanes. There's a lovely recreation ground with children's play area just minutes walk away. There are two pubs in the village. The Oakhill Inn is a 3 minute walk away and does delicious food and drink including take-aways; the Mendip Inn a gastro pub,10 mins walk. A 5 minute drive to supermarkets and shopping. Wells is 12 minute drive away, with fabulous views of Glastonbury Tor en-route.

Longleat

Longleat combines a Safari Park with a magnificent Stately Home and Gardens, it is approx. 16 miles from our property. www.longleat.co.uk

Wells Cathedral

Roman Baths

Drive to Bath in under 30 mins, or Odd Down Park and Ride in 25. The Roman Baths, at the heart of the City of Bath World Heritage Site, consist of the remarkably preserved remains of one of the greatest religious spas of the ancient world. The city’s unique thermal springs rise in the site and the Baths still flow with natural hot water. An alluring city Bath serves as a stage for a packed calendar of events throughout the year - try the multi-arts Bath Festival or the Christmas Market.

Glastonbury Tor

A great place for a walk and a picnic, even for little legs. Glastonbury Tor is one of the most famous landmarks in Somerset, if not the whole of the West Country. Fabulous views and a fascinating history. It's not just famous because it can be seen for miles and miles around, but also because it has huge spiritual significance for many people.
